The annual excellence in health journalism awards will be presented prior to the forum.
On November 17 2010, Chairman of Medicines Australia Mr Will Delaat argued the significance of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme Memorandum of Understanding with the Commonwealth – both for taxpayers and consumers. Mr Delaat made the case for Parliament to pass the PBS legislation currently before the Senate and announced Medicines Australia’s four-point plan to ensure the medicines industry can continue to deliver better health outcomes and greater economic benefits to Australians.Mr Delaat referred to Australia's ageing population and its implications during his address.
