"12 years of Java and the Internet. How did we get here and what does the future hold."
"12 years of Java and the Internet. How did we get here and what does the future hold." James will review the parallel paths of Java and the Internet. Although both grew up in separate playpens, they ended up inexorably linked and intertwined.
His talk will range across the technology opportunities and challenges that will be faced by the leaders of business and government, as well as those who have to design and deploy these technologies, for the next Internet age.
About James Gosling:
James is a Sun Fellow, the highest technical honour in engineering that can be awarded to an employee of Sun Microsystems. He is generally acknowledged as the inventor of Java. James continues to be a leading thinker and an innovator in the technology domain that supports the creation of new and endless possibilities on the Internet.
James is at his most engaging and enlightening in forum-like sessions where he can roam across innovations in the technology landscape, responding to how these innovations address real world and intractable challenges, and to provoking questions from the audience.
