Stephen Moore
GCStephen Moore is Vice President and Chief Security Strategist at Exabeam, focused on driving solutions for threat detection/response and advising customers on breach response. He is an author, board advisor, keynote speaker, and host of “The New CISO.”
Prior to Exabeam, Moore served as Staff VP of Cybersecurity Analytics at Anthem, a Fortune 30 Healthcare company. Moore’s experience includes leading the investigation of state sponsored cyberespionage campaigns, responding to criminal actors, breach response, associated legal deposition and witness work.
At Anthem Moore was the driving force behind their new Cybersecurity Operations Center and program. Moore led the creation and improvement of the following programs: Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, Adversary Simulation, Incident Response, and SOC Operations. Prior to Anthem, Moore served in a variety of roles in the financial services industry. His free time is spent advising industry-leading organizations and coaching others.

Damian Manuel
DM
Damien is the Director of Deakin's Centre for Cyber Security Research & Innovation and is the Chairman of the Australian Information Security Association (AISA), a not-for profit organisation which aims to improve Cyber Security in Australia at a Government, Industry and Community level.

In his former role as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Symantec Australia and New Zealand, Damien worked with senior executives in the region to align security architectures to industry best practices. Damien also worked as a senior information security governance manager and later as an enterprise IT and security risk manager at National Australia Bank (NAB), where he was responsible for managing the bank’s information security standard globally. He also held senior roles at RSA, Telstra and Melbourne IT and is currently on CompTIA’s Executive Advisory Committee in the USA. Damien also sits on the board of the Oceania Cyber Security Centre (OCSC), the Victorian Ombudsman’s Audit and Risk Committee and helps mentor entrepreneurs through CyRise, Australia’s only cyber security startup accelerator.

Damien has supported CompTIA for over 16 years through the development of CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ and more recently the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner certification. Damien’s passion for making a difference motivated him to establish Information Technology community resource centres to improve literacy and skills in impoverished and disadvantaged communities in Kenya, Laos, Uganda and Cambodia.

Underpinning his over 25 years of experience is a diverse educational grounding ranging from the highest security, audit and governance certifications complemented by an Executive MBA with an international business focus. Damien also has a background in genetic engineering and is passionate about science. He has spoken on a number of podcasts (including with Dr Karl), conference keynotes internationally and locally, radio and TV appearances. In his youth (at age 11) he was part of a hacker collective which sparked his interest in security.

Gareth Cox

Gareth has been working as a Cyber Security Professional for the past 13 years. Prior to running the APJ business and go to market strategy for Exabeam Gareth launched Skyhigh Networks a Cloud Access Security Broker in APJ. During the 4 years at Skyhigh Gareth and his team successfully deployed Skyhigh in a number of future 500 clients across APJ and setting up a partner ego systems. Skyhigh was acquired by McAfee in January 2018. Prior to Skyhigh Gareth ran Check Point Software Financial Services business where he learned the operational complexity within large FSI customers

Richard Byfield
RBRichard Byfield is currently the Executive Director for Managed Security Services at CyberCX. Prior to this he was the  Founder, Managing Director and CEO of specialist cyber security company TSS Cyber, which was recently acquired by BGH Capital. Prior to establishing TSS, Richard worked in the intelligence and security communities, for both Australia and New Zealand. During this time, he obtained extensive knowledge and unique insights to cyber operations, information assurance and technical security capability development. Previous roles include Managing Director of New Zealand's Centre for Critical Infrastructure Protection and Director of Network Vulnerability Operations in Australia’s Department of Defence.
