NFAW Annual Dinner

The 2019 Annual Dinner of the National Foundation for Australian Women (NFAW) will be held at the National Press Club on Tuesday 12 November. This is a special 30th anniversary year for the organisation.

We are delighted to announce that the Guest Speaker will be Pip Marlow, Chief Executive Officer, Salesforce Australia and New Zealand.

In this role, Pip is responsible for ensuring Salesforce delivers on its values of trust, customer success, innovation and equality across Australia and New Zealand. Prior to Salesforce, Pip was Chief Executive Officer Customer Marketplace at Suncorp, where she was responsible for driving customer focus into all aspects of Suncorp’s business including strategy, customer care, partnerships and innovative solutions that add value for customers. Prior to joining Suncorp in 2016, Pip was at Microsoft for 21 years where she held a number of roles in Australia and the USA, culminating in her role as the Managing Director of Microsoft Australia for 6 years.

Pip is also a non-executive director of the Rugby Australia (ARU), sits on the Vice-Chancellor’s Advisory Board at UTS, is a member of Chief Executive Women (CEW), and is an Executive Ally for Pride Diversity. She is a passionate advocate for flexible and diverse workplaces that empower people. Born and raised in New Zealand, Pip lives in Sydney with her Scottish husband and her two American born daughters, Sophie and Lucy.

In April 2019, she led Australia’s first-ever Female Leaders in Technology Delegation to Silicon Valley (organised by the Trans-Tasman Business Circle – NFAW was represented). Pip and others are driving Australian Women Leaders’ Call to action: Tech for Good.

Pip will speak on the theme:
What do women want? Let’s start by not having to ask that question.

“Women, for the most part, want the same things men want: education, opportunity, advancement, access and balance. The more concrete action we can take hopefully the less we have to keep asking this question” Pip says.

With waves of change underway but lower participation rates of women in technology, Pip’s vision is that organisations need to start thinking about individuals and humans and shaping the workplace experience to ensure that everyone has the same rights and access.

The event commences from 6.30pm for 7pm dinner.
$89 per ticket which covers Pre-dinner drinks, Canapes, Chef’s Selection Main, Wines, Dessert and Cheese.

It will be a wonderful night with fund-raising for a great cause (NFAW!)
