Australian Culinary Federation Apprentice of the Year Competition

National Press Club Apprentices win Bronze in the ACT Australian Culinary Federation Apprentice of the year competition, held on Monday, 18 June 2018.

3rd year apprentice Sophie Schiliro of the National Press Club received a Bronze Medal and achieved the highest score in her category and is now eligible to represent ACT in the National final held here in Canberra at the CIT in October.
Michael Smith, 1st year apprentice received a bronze medal and also took out the award Sol…idteknics award for the best omelette.

Lachlan Hunter acquitted himself very well but unfortunately did not medal on this occasion.

The event took place using rescued food and over 80 meals were packaged for OzHarvest charities instead of going to landfill.

We are very proud of our rising stars representing the National Press Club in this competition.
